Join us for a complimentary historic tour of The GRAND, Western Canada's oldest performing arts theatre! The GRAND opened in 1912 and quickly became an entertainment destination for Calgary's rapidly growing population. Advancements in transportation enabled a steady-stream of global artists and touring shows to perform at The GRAND for patrons visiting from near and far. We'll explore the theatre's history from opening night to today, covering notable visitors, significant events, and how The GRAND has evolved to meet Calgary's changing landscape, while maintaining its role as a hub for arts, entertainment and culture.
