windows, black holes, helium

presented by
The GRAND

This deeply considered performance comes as the creative culmination of a multi-phase research project involving trauma survivors, intergenerational dance professionals, mental health practitioners and academics. Within a choreographic process framework, the study, principally funded by the The Canada Council for the Arts and the Government of Canada's Social Science and Humanities Research Council, and research conducted in partnership with the University of Toronto, University of Calgary and Toronto Metropolitan University, yielded hours of focus group and interview data on psychological trauma embodiment and autobiographical sourcing in the making of performance.
